The Phaeton KESSY (Keyless Entry and Start System) module failure is a common issue in Volkswagen Phaeton vehicles, particularly as they age. The KESSY system is responsible for the vehicle’s keyless entry, start/stop functionality, and anti-theft system.

 

Symptoms of a Failed KESSY Module:

 

1. No Response from Key Fob:

   • Keyless entry and push-button start don’t function.

2. Car Won’t Start:

   • The car may fail to start even if the key fob is inside the vehicle.

3. Error Codes:

   • Scan for error codes that are related to KESSY or immobilizer faults.

4. Key Fob Not Recognized:

   • The system fails to detect or authenticate the key fob.
